Il problema allo smart lo rileva al disco
ST500LM021-1KJ152 con numero seriale W628TX09
nello specifico questo
196 Reallocated_Event_Count POSR-- 086 086 030 - 12504 (7203 0)

Il parametro SMART indica il conteggio delle operazioni di rimappatura (trasferimento di dati da un settore danneggiato a un'area speciale del disco riservata - area di riserva).
Non essendo associato nel tuo caso a riallocazione dei blocchi (#05) ti consiglierei, prima di darlo da cestinare, farei un controllo con il software di Seagate https://www.seagate.com/it/it/support/downloads/seatools/

Ho scaricato Seatools e ho fatto un test automatico completo e mi dice così (foto allegata)

In "stato" c'è anche una V verde, in segno che per il tool è in buono stato
Dovrei fare qualche altro test?

È un vecchio ST500 che ha girato 12998 ore con settori riallocati
Salva quel che ti serve e sostituiscilo al volo con un SSD, l'isola ecologica è il suo posto ideale dove stare

Può essere un errore di lettura dello smart.
I Seagate di questo tipo lo fanno.
