PROCEDURE:
I basically used this guide here:
http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2013/12/where-are-apps-in-the-windows-store-installed/
To figure out the process of gaining access to the folders.
Next I simply copied the 2 Dell Power Manager v3 folders from my factory disk image that I copied to the 1TB 5400 RPM HDD before removing it.
Repeat the process once more to gain access to your current (CLEAN) install's C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder and paste the 2 Dell Power Manager v3 folders into it.
My two Dell Power Manager v3 folders are named:
DellInc.DellPowerManager_3.0.81.0_neutral_~_htrsf667h5kn2
DellInc.DellPowerManager_3.0.81.0_x64__htrsf667h5kn2
Once the folders are in place go into the
..._x64 DPM folder then go into the
Main folder and you will find the
DellPowerManager.exe file you can execute to run the app.
NOTES:
When I ran the
DellPowerManager.exe APP it kept wanting me to install the
Dell Power Manager SERVICE (even though I already had it installed prior to copying the
Windows Store Dell Power Manager APP as detailed above) so I re-installed (
using the "repair" option since it was already installed) the
Dell Power Manager SERVICE (AKA: The DPM file offered for our machine on Dell's website under the Downloads and Drivers section) and then re-executed the
DPM APP and the
APP didn't complain about the
SERVICE again.
Hopefully this makes sense to those interested in getting this silly app back. My main motivation in getting it back was to preserve the lifespan of my battery since I leave my laptop plugged in 70% of the time.
