Problemi nell'installazione su hhd sata

Ho capito cosa non gli piaceva

Gli andava in puzza caricare fglrx in /etc/modules

ora quella riga l'ho commentata e ho sovrascritto xorg.conf con quello vecchio sicuramente funzionante facendolo ripartire con i vesa.

Ma qui ho sbagliato perchè prima di sovrascriverlo dovevo farne una copia per potervelo far vedere qui sul forum e capire cosa bisognava commentare e cosa no..

Ma Tanto sono sicuro che non è affatto finita qui dato che adesso sto con i vesa e devo reimpostare la ati. Credo che devo aggiungere qualche altro pacchetto da repository e provare ad installare quel driver che m'ero scaricato in precedenza (ve lo ricordate no?)

Va bene così? Cosa dovrei modificare secondo voi?


Da recovery mode sono riuscito a montare una pen drive e c'ho copiato sopra il mio Xorg.0.log attuale così da farvi vedere tutti gli errori e i warning.

non lo copio perchè è immensamente lungo però ve lo allego.

Se volete dargli una spulciata mi farebbe piacere

Pare che tu abbia smanettato un pò troppo con Xorg :boh:

Sopra dici di aver sovrascritto il file xorg.conf però ogni volta che modifichi un file te ne fa una copia di backup che dovrebbe chiamarsi xorg.conf~ o comunque col simbolo ~. Ti basta entrare in modalità di recupero, fare cd /etc/X11 e poi dare il comando ls per vedere che file ci sono nella cartella, vedi come si chiama quello di backup e dai un comando del tipo:
sudo mv xorg.conf~ xorg.conf
così il backup ridiventa quello in uso. Riavvii e vedi se funzia.

Non so se serve sudo perché in modalità di ripristino mi sembra sia direttamente root, quindi se il comando non va togli sudo ;)

Tilde (~) dovrebbe farsi con F12

Avevo già pensato di ripristinare l'xorg impostato solo con i vesa. L'avevo salvato appositamente come xorg.conf.old

Ma ora il problema è un'altro. I vesa devono essere una situazione temporanea perchè non ci posso campare a vita se qui sopra ho una ati radeon 9800 pro.

Io voglio configurare per bene questa scheda video.. e che cavolo :lol:

Fra un pò dovrebbe farmi anche il caffè e invece sono costretto ad utilizzarlo come una 500 vecchia.
 
il file di log non genera errori ma solo warnings di cui il piu' interessante

Hai specificato nella Section "Device" quale identificativo di bus usare per la
scheda? cerca la voce BusID "..." e metti quella corretta riferita alla tua
scheda (con lspci la trovi al volo).

Il file xorg.conf dell'altro pc va sistemato in modo da indicare i dati esatti
del tuo pc sul quale vuoi usarlo, quindi vanno sistemati i dati sul monitor, sui
dispositivi di input (il mouse in particolare) e sulla scheda video.

Una volta sistemati questi sei a posto.
 
Ma mi servono tutti quei /dev/wacom?

Monitor tastiera e mouse sono le stesse periferiche per entrambi i comuputer perchè stanno collegati fra di loro con uno switch

Quindi anche di là il Monitor dovrà essere Philips 170C con HorizSync 30-83 e VertRefresh 56-76

il bus id sarebbe quel numeretto all'inizio della riga?

Edit: visto che non esiste la tavoletta grafica in questione rilevata da xorg con tutti quei /dev/wacom che ci devo fare?
 
io toglierei i riferimenti a quei cosi "wacom" mettendo il classico /dev/mouse (o quello che è nel tuo caso) con le impostazioni per il mouse

non avevo mai visto 2 indicazioni per la scheda video, metti e prova

Sto spulciando xorg.conf e mi è andato l'occhio sulle righe iniziali commentate.

C'è un comando ce mi ha incuriosito. Cosa fà sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg?

Edit. Solo per tenervi informati.. xorg.conf è tornato come quello che vi ho incollato sopra :rolleyes: e rifà la cosa dello schermo nero.

Si avvia grub.. kubuntu carica il logo dopo di che Il monitor rimane totalmente nero con una finestrella volante che dice: Attenzione. Impossibile viualizzare questo modo video. Cambiare impostazione video su 1280x1024@60Hz

Io non sono una cima su linux e Kubuntu ma per logica deduzione penso sia normale che il computer si impalli se xorg gli dice di eseguire la stessa cosa in 2 modi differenti.

Potete aiutarmi?
 
non vorrei che kubuntu ti riporti all'originale il file xorg.conf se non lo modifichi tramite il suo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg ... spero non faccia realmente una cosa del genere altrimenti sarebbe parecchio fastidioso.

riprova a lanciare "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" per sistemarlo ...
 
Ma devo reimpostare di nuovo i driver vesa?

Se fosse così sto facendo un giro di peppe assurdo. Con i vesa funziona sicuramente ma quando vado a configurare i driver per la 9800pro ritorniamo al punto di partenza.
 
io farei una prova ... avvia in single mode, rinomina /etc/X11/xorg.conf in /etc/X11/mio_xorg.conf in modo da fare "terra bruciata" e lancia "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" andando a fornire quando richiesto tutte le informazioni giuste relative al tuo hardware (scheda video, monitor, mouse, tastiera, ...)
 
Sto dal pc incriminato. Sta funzionando e non ci posso credere!!
