Methods for 125% Scaling in Xorg:
Methods for 125% Scaling in Xorg:
- Linux Mint/Cinnamon: Go to System Settings > Display and toggle "Fractional Scaling" to select 125%.
- KDE Plasma: Navigate to System Settings > Display and Monitor > Display Configuration and set Global Scale to 125%.
- GNOME (Experimental): Run the following command in the terminal to enable fractional scaling, then select 125% in settings:
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']" - xrandr (Universal, but may cause blur):
Use the command xrandr --output <YOUR_DISPLAY> --scale 1.25x1.25 to zoom in.- Note: Using this method with 100% scaling can cause blur. A better approach is often to set the panel/system to 200% and use a scale of 0.625 or similar to achieve a cleaner 125% look.
- Adjusting Fonts: If full scaling is too intensive, you can just increase font scaling in Settings > Appearance/Fonts to 1.25.
