a me i crysis ---piacciono tantissimo---, quindi spero che almeno questa scheda riesca a farli girare bene al massimo in full hd, visto che purtroppo la 5870 stenta!
e poi chi caspita te lo ha detto che vivrei solo per vedere girare bene crysis? :lol: ovviamente a me piacciono anche altri giochi, ma è logico che se devo andare a spendere 300-400€ per queste schede nuove, pretendo di veder girare bene anche i giochi che mi piacciono e che sono tra i più pesanti, altrimenti tanto valeva restare con una 260 :lol::lol:

Nvidia wants to hide stuff from AMD

Nvidia's excuse for not showing GT300, Fermi based board is that they want to hide some things from the red green competition.

Since the latest GPU technology conference was all about how to make money on GPU computing, Nvidia didn't want to cloud this with a DirectX 11 demo, which would actually prove that Fermi GT300 board is real.

The second reason is that the board has a lot of wires sticking out, as well as test modules, and looks like a character from Terminator. Judging from we've learned in the last few days we are talking about a handful of boards if not even less than that.

Production is not that far away but Nvidia still works heavily to make the November launch possible. We believe that the decision to show a mock up card is definitely a bad idea as now, it looks like Nvidia wanted to deceive journalists and the rest of the world, with a mock up, claiming that this is the real deal.

NDA journalists might see the Geforce GT300 Fermi version in November unless something drastically changes and the availability should be later that month. We do expect big shortage of chips at launch due to high demand. Just remember what happened when G80 and G92 got out.

If all goes well
Nvidia's CEO first said that Fermi, GT300 product will launch on Tuesday and didn't want comment whether it can launch in 2009 or 2010. After a while we found out from chaps from top management that this new 40nm chip should launch in 2009.

After digging a bit more, we found out that you can expect to see Fermi officially in late November. This date can easily slip as the engineers work around the clock to make it happen. The first sample is out and Nvidia did show it to some important investors and analysts. Nvidia is adamant that the physics demo is real and not a fake thing.

ATI will enjoy availability and exclusivity on market as it has two month lead but we hope ATI can get more cards out and serve them to early DirectX 11 adopters. Nvidia also told us that GT300 was never really a codename but we don't really care as GT300 definitely sounds better than Fermi.

Despite the fact that this chap was in part responsible for the creation of the first atomic weapon, he doesn't really have what we would call a cool name. Frankly, Fermi just reminds us on an average brand for cereal, but don't worry Nvidia will replace this name with Geforce, Tesla and Quadro, when the time comes.

Nvidia vuole nascondere la sua tecnologia ad AMD

La scusa di Nvidia per non aver mostrato GT300, la piattaforma basata su tecnologia Fermi, è che loro non volevano far vedere alcune cose ad AMD.

Visto che l'ultima conferenza era incentrata prevalentemente sul come fare soldi sfruttando il GPU computing, Nvidia non aveva intenzione di coprire questo fattore con una demo dx11 la quale, però, avrebbe dimostrato che GT300 è realtà.

La seconda ragione è che la piattaforma (Fermi), così come tutte le piattaforme di test, ha un sacco di fili sparsi e l'avrebbe fatta assomigliare a un endoscheletro della serie Terminator. Secondo quanto abbiamo appreso stiamo parlando di un pugno di esemplari, se non anche meno.

La data di produzione non è distante, e Nvidia sta lavorando ancora fervidamente per poter rendere possibile il rilascio a Novembre. Noi crediamo che la decisione di mostrare al pubblico una GPU "falsa" sia stata una pessima idea in quanto sembra che Nvidia abbia voluto "prendere per il culo" i giornalisti e il resto del mondo spacciando una vga tarocca come vera.

I giornalisti della NDA si aspettano che la data (Novembre) venga rispettata a meno che non avvengano drastici cambiamenti e la disponibilità di questo chip dovrebbe essere per la fine di quel mese. Noi crediamo che ci debba essere una massiva disponibilità di chip vista l'alta domanda di mercato, ricordando appunto cosa successe con G80 e G92.

Il CEO di Nvidia disse inizialmente che i prodotti Fermi GT300 verranno rilasciati Martedì, senza parlare dell'anno, se il 2009 o il 2010. Dopo un po di ricerche abbiamo appreso che questo nuovo chip a 40nm vedrà la luce nel 2009.

Approfondendo le nostre ricerche abbiamo appreso che puoi aspettarti di vedere GT300 nel tardo Novembre. Questa data può facilmente non essere rispettata in quanto il tutto dipenderà dagli ingegneri che lavorano attorno a questo chip e ai suoi clock. Il primo esemplare di GT300 è stato pubblicato a importanti analisti e finanzieri e Nvidia si dichiara inflessibile riguardo alla posizione che da tempo sostiene, ovvero che la physics demo mostrata poco tempo fa era vera e non un fake.

ATi sicuramente trarrà vantaggio dai suoi due mesi di anticipo per quanto riguarda fette di mercato ed esclusività del prodotto ma noi speriamo che ATi rilasci nuove vga in grandi quantità quando si faranno più consistenti i primi dx11 users. Nvidia ci ha anche confidato che GT300 non è mai stato un nome in codice ma a noi non ce ne frega nulla se suona meglio o peggio di Fermi.

Malgrado quest'uomo sia stato in parte il responsabile della creazione della prima bomba atomica, non aveva purtroppo quello che noi definiamo un nome figo. Francamente Fermi ci ricorda solo un brand di cereali, ma non disperate, Nvidia rimpiazzerà questo nome con le sigle GeForce, Tesla e Quadro quando sarà tempo.
