attenzione: utilizzate questo bios solo se avete problemi o volete a tutti i costi alzare le frequenze default della vostra X1800XT; aggiornare il bios di una vga può essere pericoloso se non lo si fa nella maniera giusta; prima di provare questo nuovo bios salvate sempre il vostro originale.
Le RADEON X1800 XT 512MB con PCB numero 109-A52031-10 potrebbero avere vita più breve se utilizzate con il nuovo bios; nessun problema, invece, per le vga basate sul nuovo PCB 109-A52031-20.
ATI released a X1800XT bios which set the core to 700 from 625Mhz and the memory to 800Mhz from 750Mhz. It was said that the raise should generally work on all X1800XT cards. Now it seems that the higher clock speed need a change at the hardware level. The cards would need more MOSFETs to ensure a clean and stable power feed. The BIOS should still work, but users are advised that the upgrade could drastically reduce the lifespan of the card.

Flashing is very easy, however, you MUST lower your clocks to 500/500 before you flash. If you do not, chances are very good that you will suffer BSODs, screen corruption or even a failed flash and making your card useless.
1) You need to install an overclocking utility (Rivatuner, ATITool).
2) Go to the low level clocking utility and lower clocks to 500/500.
3) Run the ATIWinFlash utility. Once the application splash screen is up, select save BIOS so that you have your current BIOS. Then select the BIOS file wich is the .103 file; then select "load" and it will flash your card.
