[ubuntu gg] compilazione kernel per la prima volta

ho seguito la seguente guida http://pollycoke.net/2006/10/10/usare-linstaller-per-i-driver-nvidia-su-ubuntu/
e ho modificato il file xorg.conf così ma continua a non funzionare il 3D

il log dell'installer dei driver nvidia che dice riguardo l'installazione delle librerie?

prova questa cosa
sudo find /usr -iname "*glx*.so"
se trovi il file libglx.so e NON è in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/ esegui
sudo ln -s path_trovato_con_find/libglx.so /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libglx.so

cmq se trovi il file nel punto in cui xorg ti dice di non riuscire a trovare il file controlla i permessi (devono essere almeno rw-r-r, in ottale 644)
 
il file si trova nel punto giusto e questi sono i permessi

strano, molto strano ...

che dice file /usr/lib/xorg/modules/libglx.so ???

non sei l'unico cmq ad avere problemi simili, se cerchi Failed to load module "glx" (loader failed, 7) con google vedrai altra gente nella tua situazione, a volte era il pacchetto di xorg corrotto

provato ad usare driver piu' recenti? che versione hai ora di tale driver per la scheda video? di xorg che versione hai?
 
guarda ora ho deciso di fare una cosa spero un pò più semplice, cio'è ripristinare il vecchio kernel, e modificarlo a seconda delle mie esigenze.
però ora come entro con il vecchio kernel, continuo ad avere problemi con il 3D. continua a non avviarsi
la cosa è abbastanza strana anche perchè i driver proprietari gli ho scaricati dai repository.
 
ciao volevo chiederti se modifico il kernel originario di ubuntu pensi che continuerò ad avere problemi con i driver nvidia oppure non dovrebbero esserci problemi?
