Riesco a ripristinare Mast. CD Yamaha 2100e ?

Ciao a tutti.

Tempo fa ho provato a aggiornare il firmware
di un vecchio masterizzatore CD Yamaha 2100E.

Purtroppo (forse InCD attivo) in fase di reflashing qualcosa e' andato
storto per cui ora il masterizzatore NON viene piu' riconosciuto nemmeno
in fase di avvio PC dal BIOS.

Avevo trovato dei programmi (pardon non ric. ora il nome e sono al lavoro :cool: ) che permettevano di reflashare un masterizzatore SENZA che per forza esso fosse riconosciuto dal controller EIDE (BIOS).

Sostanzialmente pero' questio programmi lavoravano su modelli di master. che avessero un
tipo di flash conosciuta o che si sapesse come gestire (tipo dimensione flash, organizzazione dati, ecc.).

Secondo voi se riuscissi a sapere modello di flash usata nello Yamaha 2100E
potrei riuscire a "reflasharlo" ? Qualcuno sa quale tipo/modello di flash contiene
il Yamaha 2100E ? Consigli in generale ? (So che e' vecchio e che forse
faccio prima a buttarlo via ... Ma mi dispiace, mi sono sempre trovato bene
con questo mast. :) Inoltre vorrei almeno tentare prima di buttarlo :aur:

Se l'aggiornamento del firmware tentato la prima volta è andato storto ho paura che non ci sia più niente da fare....mi spiace....:)

Ciao hai il masterizzatore identico al mio io ho sempre aggiornato ed e' andato tutto ok.Si il mast e' un po' vecchio ma va ancora alla grande :D comunque non so che tipo di flash usi infatti si flasha da windows pero' ti posso fornire il file readme.txt dove anche se inglese puoi magari capire che tipo di flash usa. \ Readme File@CRW2100e Firmware Version 1.0n

Note: The firmware and the installer utility program are exclusively for CRW2100e.
Do not use them for other models and devices.
It may damage the device if you use them for other models.

When the LED on front panel of the drive blinks in amber after running the updater,
which means the process has failed.
In that case, download the firmware file from our web site and run the update again.

Contents of the file
1. atf01302.bin the latest version of the firmware
2. 2100inst.exe (version 4.0.0.1) the installer utility program
3. readme.txt

Usage note
Make sure to put these files in the same folder on harddisk (ex. desktop)
in order to use properly.

Instructions
* For Windows 95/98/98SE/Me user
1. Check the setting of "Auto insert notification" & "DMA" option
in properties of CRW2100e before installation.

* When the CRW2100e is configured as slave and you have connected
other CD-rom or CDR/RW drive as master on the same bus line with the CRW2100e,
disable "Auto insert notification" option of the drive other than
Yamaha as well.

2. If both options are "ON", please disable them and reboot the system.

3. Open the folder of the installer and double-click [2100inst.exe]
to start the program.

4. Then the message notifying you to disable "Auto insert notification" &
"DMA" options appear.
When you have already set both options as disabled status, press [Continue].
If you have not turn them off yet, press [Exit] to finish this program.
Go to properties of CRW2100e and disable them and then reboot the system
to start the installation again.

5. Please make sure CRW2100e is chosen as the target drive
(the drive to upgrade the firmware) in the dialogue.

6. The target firmware revision shows the version of the recorder
you have at this moment.
The source firmware revision shows the latest version of the firmware
for the recorder and the file name of the program.

7. Click [Update] to start the upgrade process.

8. The progress bar goes on to the end and the message
"The firmware has installed successfully" will appear.

9. Then set both "Auto insert notification" and "DMA" option back to "ON"
and reboot both the PC and the recorder to complete the upgrade process.


* For Windows NT4.0/2000 user

in this case, the drive is connected to the secondary IDE cable as slave>

Open the "Control Panel" and double-click on the "System" icon.
Select the "Hardware" tab and click on "Device Manager".
And click the "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" icon to open the
"Secondary IDE Channel" window. Then double-click the "Advanced Settings" tab.
Then choose "PIO Only" to uncheck "DMA" option.

Il file Readme relativo e anche il Firmware l'avevo scaricato dalla rete,
quindi OK. Quello che mi serve in effetti sarebbe sapere quale memoria flash usa, senza doverlo aprire... Ma mi sa che a questo punto presto o tardi lo faro' :muro: ...

Se conosco il modello di flash e trovo in rete le caratteristiche (a quanti bit lavora, dimensione memoria, ecc.) forse con un programma che accede
direttamente alla memoria attraverso EIDE (acc. NON ricordo nome programma, ma appena lo trovo, o trovo link faccio sapere) posso tentare
di riprogrammare la memoria. Oppure dovrei dissaldare memoria, usare il
programmatore di flash di un mio amico e poi rimettere la memoria ! Troppo un casino ! Voglio evitare.

Comunque se avete consigli fatemi sapere.
