Problemi OpenGL Salve a tutti,
possego una nvidia GeForce FX 5200

Ho problemi nella visualizzazioni di programmi utilizzanti opengl.

In particolare:
- Google earth non visualizza le scritte all'interno del globo
- Stellarium non visualizza alcuna scritta
- Enemy Territory va a scatti.

c'è qualcosa di errato o che dovrei modificare? ci sono altri file che devo tener presente per la configurazione?

Leggendo il tuo xorg pare che hai installato i driver ufficiali nvidia, oppure hai solo editato a mano il file sostituendo "nv" con "nvidia"?
Io ho i driver ufficiali installati e Google earth funziona benissimo.
Che distribuzione usi?
 
utilizzo ubuntu, ed ho utilizzato i drivers presenti nel pacchetto
nvidia-glx

Pensi che dovrei usare il .run ufficiale?
Nel caso usassi quello successivamente dovrei cambiare qualche parametro?
 
Sì i driver ufficiali sono 100 volte meglio.
Se vuoi semplificarti la vita uso gli script in questa pagina.
Ci sono le istruzioni in inglese alla fine. Con un paio di comandi te la cavi e poi fa tutto da solo.
 
Ho provato l'installazione sia tramite lo script, sia tramite il run ufficiale, ma entrambi mi vanno in conflitto con il xorg.conf e non ho caputo rimediare.

Ho invece installato il pacchetto dei drivers legacy dal repository ubuntu e tutto è andato a posto con tutti i programmi il pacchetto è
nvidia-glx-legacy
 
Sì quelli sono driver sempre nvidia ma non ufficiali. Sono meno performanti ma per lo meno abilitano il 3D.
