Ciao a tutti!
Ora sono un utente fastweb ma vorrei ritornare a telecom per vari motivi...
Avrei bisogno di un consiglio su un modem router da comprare, devo fare streaming 1080p di mkv da NAS quindi mi serve sia gigabit ethernet che wifi N o AC.

Ho dato un occhiata al netgear dgnd 4000 premium.

vi incollo i risultati della verifica linea fatti su ovus.it, sembrerebbe che possa mettere la 20 mb vero? Perchè chiamando telecom non mi hanno saputo dire niente finchè non passo con loro....

si puoi avere la 20 mb ma prima dovresti sapere a che distanza sei dalla centrale, se sei molto distante( 3 km o più ) la 20 mb non ha senso.
Il netgear dgnd4000 è un'eccellente modem/router prendilo senza timori ;)

ciao e grazie della risposta, ho preso il dgnd4000 e ora sto' aspettando che telecom mi allacci la linea.
nel frattamempo l'ho collegato all'HAG di fastweb, pensavo che avesse una migliore copertura wifi.
Mi sai dire perchè il portatile di mia madre che ha la scheda di rete N si collega a soli 54mbps e invece quello della mia raga sempre con scheda N si collega a 72mbps?
 
potrebbe essere una questione di compatibilità delle schede di rete con il wireless del router, aggiornare i driver molte volte può giovare.

ciao e grazie del consiglio, i driver sono aggiornati... Deve essere qualcos'altro.
Come dicevo sto passando a telecom e nel frattempo ho attaccato il dgnd4000 all'HAG di fastweb che ha grossi problemi(si spegne o perde la linea quando ci sono in atto download), ogni tanto il dgnd4000 perde la linea anche se l'HAG in quel momento va, secondo me è colpa dell'HAG malfunzionante vero?
 
se il dgnd4000 perde la linea ed esso è collegato all'hag ( che negozia la connessione ) la colpa è soltanto dell'hag
 
Ok, almeno so che il dgnd4000 non è difettoso.
Per il momento grazie,sei veramente gentile e preparato. Quando mi arriverà telecom se non riusciro' ad arrangiarmi ti rompero' ancora per l'attenuazione ecc...:)

Oggi la telecom mi ha attaccato la linea 20 mb, peccato che i 20mb non ci sono.
il tecnico attaccando il suo router è arrivato a 13mb io con il dgnd4000 arrivo a 10. riusciamo a pomparla un po'? :)

chiama il 187 e fatti impostare un profilo target snr a 6 db
vedrai che cosi aggancerai almeno 13/14 mb
l'mtu impostalo a 1478, è deleterio impostare un mtu inferiore o superiore a 1478 in PPPoA, se il router non te lo lascia impostare devi dare da telnet questo comando: nvram set wan_mtu=1478

ciao! ho impostato mtu a 1478 da telnet, non ho notato differenze. Quando riavvio il router devo sempre rimetterlo?
Se chiedo al 187 di impostarmi il profilo target snr a 6 db potrei avere problemi di stabilità alla linea o aumento del ping? (giocando online non vorrei alzare il ping)

non penso che avresti problemi di stabilità con un profilo a 6 db, la cosa strana è che di portante hai solo 11070 Kbps avendo un'attenuazione non molto alta, dovresti prendere almeno 14/15 mb anche con il profilo a 12 db :boh:

ahia... c'è qualcosa che non va, intanto fai una cosa, non disconnettere il router per almeno una settimana, perché telecom fa dei controlli sulla linea nella prima settimana dall'attivazione e se ci sono dei problemi dovrebbero sistemare loro, se dopo non si sistema controllerei anche l'impianto telefonico di casa :sisi:
