Migliore scheda X79 nei prossimi mesi, budget-free

O addirittura un nuovo chipset per socket 2011 che sostituisce l'X79?

Nel caso in cui ci sia, significa che non è stato annunciato... Guardando su Tomshw sembra di sì

With current X79 chipsets not fully certified for PCIe 3.0, we look for the new chipset to be fully PCIe 3.0 certified, along with other features being implemented with the Lynx Point Chipset on the "Haswell" platform. si infatti, pure a me sembrerebbe normale l'uscita di un chipset serie X, perlomeno perchè l'X79 è parecchio vecchio, e con Haswell che avrà un nuovo chipset-socket, l'X79 resterebbe indietro di 3 generazioni di chip del socket inferiore, per me si creerebbe un divario troppo marcato tra le cpu "mainstream" Haswell e quelle enthusiast-extreme Ivy-E, in pratica, cpu a parte, chi le compra si ritrova una piattaforma molto vecchia, e non ha molto senso visto che sta pagando per la fascia più alta dell'offerta Intel.

a sto punto mi sa che non è il caso di comprare una X79 con tanto anticipo in previsione di Ivy-E
