La mia è una domanda puramente tecnica. Facciamo le seguenti ipotesi comparative di configurazione CPU:

1) meglio CPU single core a 64 bit da 1 ghz o dual core a 32 bit da 400 mhz?

2) come nel caso 1 ma dual core a 32 bit da 500 mhz?

3) come nel caso 1 ma dual core a 32 bit da 1 ghz?

4) come nel caso 1 ma dual core a 32 bit da 2 ghz?

Dipende dagli utilizzi, dal sistema operativo e dai programmi.

Primo caso stai parlando di frequenze che non esistono più e nemmeno ci sono cpu dual core 64bit fino a certe frequenze.

64 bit a 1ghz sata più potente ma single core dual core ????

Non ci sono generiche cpu 64bit da 500 mhz... La domanda è così come è posta assurda

Oltretutto la domanda NON può in alcun modo trovare una risposta, in quanto in una cpu non ci sono solo core, frequenze e bus. Ma c'è anche il valore IPC, fattore determinante alle prestazioni.

Oltretutto la domanda non è nemmeno pertinente alle cpu. Perchè da 32bit a 64bit cambia soltanto quanti dati alla volta vengono scritti in ram. Le prestazioni della cpu non centrano proprio nulla

Faccio un esempio
È più potente un mendocino 500mhz
O un Tualatin 1200
È più prestante un duron700 oppure un Athlon 1800.
È via così...
Parlare di frequenze e di sole istruzioni relative ad una cpu non ha senso.

Tra 32 e 64 bit cambia l'architettura e ricordati che le cpu a 64bit gestiscono anche le operazioni a 32bit, quindi la velocitá non centra proprio nulla, visto che teoricamente le cpu sono le stesse.

La butto li, a paritá di mhz, ipc , bus e tutto (per assurdo), é lo stesso.

Ma é un confronto che non si puó fare.

la mia è una curiosità da retrohardware. per es. megadrive + megacd sono cpu 16 bit + cpu 16 bit vendute come 32 bit. ma è un 32 bit reale? se no sarebbe stata più potente una singola cpu da 32 bit?

Certo che lo sarebbe stata! Quelle del 16+16bit è stata una commercialata per i loro tornaconti, perchè te lo vendevano come 32bit ma in realtà era un 16+16 con i sui limiti di bus tra i 2 chip
