Salve,
il mio pc monta un ssd ocz agility 3 e un WD caviar black 64mb...
ora ovviamente sul ssd ci ho istallato il sistema operativo mentre sull'altro voglio istallarci i programmi.

Volevo sapere: come si fa a impostare l'hard disk meccanico come primario? Spiego cosa intendo per primario: quando ad esempio si istalla un gioco il computer individua da solo l'hard disk e io voglio che individui automaticamente l'hard disk meccanico e non rischi di istallarlo sull'ssd.

Purtroppo non ha funzionato.
Premesso che nella guida c'è una contraddizione perchè nell'immagine fanno vedere che modifica una chiave e nella guida dice di modificarne un'altra, quando ho fatto come diceva ed ho riavviato il computer, internet explorer che è istallato sull'SSD non parte perchè ovviamente va leggere dalla cartella dell'HD meccanico. Come si fa?

Ammettendo di spostare internet explorer sull'HD ci sono comunque alcuni programmi sull'SSD: roba istallata con l'istallazione del sistema operativo (esempio drivers). Genererebbe in ogni caso errori nel leggere poi quei file che non troverebbe.

Infatti, se il metodo avesse funzionato non si sarebbe spostato nulla.
Windows lavora con delle specie di "variabili di ambiente". Ad esempio se provi "%system32%" in start esegui, ti dovrebbe aprire "C:/Windows/System32/"
che non è altro che una "traduzione".

Se si riuscisse a trovare la variabile di ambiente (un nome ipotetico) %programs% e si riuscisse a cambiarla nella path del tuo HD esterno, allora l'installer alla chiamata del "%program%" chiamerebbein auto la path del tuo hd esterno.

Riguardando comunque la guida dice che funziona solo per XP ma dalle immagini sembra windows 7..
 
Non ho un sufficiente grado di esperienza per mettermi a "giocherellare". Non voglio essere il pigro che non legge le guide che gli si consigliano, ma è davvero arabo.

Hai trovato un possibile procedimento? una soluzione?
 
Beh i procedimenti ci sono nelle guide con tanto di immagini...

Se poi ritieni di non aver abbastanza esperienza allora non ti costa niente durante l'installazione immettere la directory manualmente no? Ci vogliono dai 5 ai 10 secondi ;)

1) Right click on the Computer icon on your Desktop and choose Properties option.

2) In the System window click on Advanced system settings in the left pane as highlighted below

3) In the System Properties window select Advanced tab and click on Environment Variables… button given at the bottom of the window as highlighted below

4) In the Environment Variables window you will notice two columns User variables for a username and System variables.

5) Now to add a new User variable click on New… button. In the New User Variable dialog box type the Variable name and Variable value and click OK button

To remove a User variable click on the required User variable and then click on Delete button.

To edit a User variable click on Edit… button. In the Edit User Variable dialog box edit the Variable name and Variable value and click OK button

Note: If you want to add, remove or edit System Variables then repeat this step under System variables column but be careful while doing this.

6) Click OK button in the Environment Variables dialog window

7) Click OK on System Properties window

8) Close System window
