Passi avanti :chupachup!
Sono riuscito a seguire tutta la procedura, a pulire il router dal Firmware Alice e a mettere il nuovo, e ora ho il mio bel pannello di controllo Broadcom modificato da beghiero, ma non riesco a navigare (in questo momento mi sono connesso con un modem di emergenza)...:cav:...sicuramente è un problema di configurazione del router; credevo di cavarmela col
Quick Setup, ma evidentemente non basta... penso di aver bisogno di una guida passo-passo, per capire dove ho sbagliato e dove intervenire.
Nella prima schermata
ATM PVC Configuration ho inizialmente evitato l'Auto-connect e ho messo
VPI=8 e
VCI=35 (quando ho visto che non funzionava, ho ripetuto in Auto-connect e il router ha impostato da solo gli stessi valori, quindi sono esatti), e ho provato sia col
Quality of Service che senza.
Nella seconda,
Connection Type, ho provato prima in PPPoE e poi in PPPoA; in
Encapsulation Mode ho messo
VC/MUX; niente da fare.
Nella terza schermata,
PPP Username and Password, ho inserito quelli di Tin.it (a questo proposito, quando ho chiesto il passaggio ad Alice ho chiesto di mantenerli, quindi resteranno validi anche con la nuova linea), e a
PPPoE Service Name ho prima lasciato in bianco (e viene impostato
pppoe_8_35_1 come
Service Name nella schermata successiva), poi ho utilizzato
Alice ADSL (che è il nome della connessione a banda larga presente nelle Connessioni di Rete); come
Authentication Method ho lasciato
AUTO, e non ho selezionato nessuno dei tre check box presenti [
Dial on demand (with idle timeout timer);
PPP IP extension;
Use Static IP Address].
Nella quarta schermata,
Enable IGMP Multicast, and WAN Service, non ho selezionato la voce
Enable IGMP Multicast, mentre
Enable WAN Service è selezionata di default.
La quinta schermata è
Device Setup; come
IP Address ho lasciato il 192.168.1.1 di default, e così 255.255.255.0 come
Subnet Mask. Ho abilitato il DHCP (il range di default è 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254) e lasciato le 24 ore di default sotto
Leased Time; ho anche scelto di configurare il secondo IP Address e la Subnet Mask per l'interfaccia LAN, e ho messo 192.168.1.2 e 255.255.255.0.
Nella sesta,
Wireless -- Setup, ho lasciato il flag al box di abilitazione e Broadcom come SSID, come da default.
La settima ed ultima schermata è
WAN Setup - Summary; ecco come appare:

Dopo di che, clicco su Save/Reboot. Chiudo il pannello, il router si riavvia e sulla System Tray la connessione di rete si disattiva e riattiva da sola, e risulto normalmente connesso. Ma non riesco ad andare su Internet.
Riapro il DSL Router, vado in Advanced Setup ed ecco come appaiono le varie schermate:
Wide Area Network (WAN) Setup
Choose Add, Edit, or Remove to configure WAN interfaces.
Choose Save/Reboot to apply the changes and reboot the system.

Chiedo scusa per il post lunghissimo, ma non sapevo proprio come fare...:look:...penso che l'errore stia da qualche parte nella configurazione del router, a meno che non ci sia qualcos'altro di particolare da settare nelle proprietà della Connessione di Rete :boh:!
