Salve a tutti i lettori.
""""""Off the top of my head, EAX HD (EAX 3-5) is Creative/Soundblaster exclusive technology. Only EAX up to 2.0 is liscenced for use on non-Creative sound cards. I'm guessing the user is asking about OpenAL
because they are considering an upgrade to vista, and/or using Creative Alchemy. - Which depending on the soundcard, Creative may charge $10 just to download...

If your user is planning to game in Windows Vista, I'd encourage them to look into our Xonar line of soundcards - our upcoming drivers should support gaming effects (GX) natively, as well has reproducing better sound quality than the X-Fi series and offering a range of Dolby/DTS audio.
Supreme FX 2, is actually a PCI-e riser card to an onboard audio chip (meant to reduce EMI). The actual 'soundcard' is SoundMAX ADI 1988B 8-channel HD. Although better than most onboard sound solutions, and adaquate for basic multi-channel tasks, I'd still recommend a true discrete soundcard. - I've attached the technical mumbo jumbo from ADI in case there is something that can help the user.
Analog Devices: AD1988B: HD Audio CODEC, 10 Channels up to 101 dB Performance :: Audio CODECs :: Audio/Video Products"""""
