4870 difettosa?

prima di tutto bisogna vedere se abbiamo lo stesso problema, poi non è detto che io abbia ragione. a vedere il grafico, parrebbe che il gioco rallenta proprio quando raggiunge il 100% cpu.

ti spedisco via pm una guida per settare ati tray tools. quel poco che so l'ho letto da lì. scarica da qui l'ultima versione di ATT:

ok, dunque per rispondere alla domanda iniziale, ci sono due problemi diversi.

la ventola è un problema della powercolor. si risolve flashando il bios oppure utilizzando dei settaggi appropiati della ventola con ati tray tools.

il fatto che crysis scatti (almeno a me) è dovuto all'utilizzo del 100% della cpu. a sto punto, basta alt-tabbare (così l'utilizzo della cpu va sotto il 5%), aspettare qualche secondo e tornare a giocare. non so perchè si comporti così.
 
ho mandato una mail alla powercolor per il problema della ventola della scheda. mi hanno risposto così:

Dear Customer,
Attached is a newer BIOS for fixed fan speed, the updating procedure is as following,
1. Extract BIOS file and utility to hard disk or floppy. Here is an example for using floppy.
2. Restart your PC in MS-DOS mode.
3. In DOS prompt, change directory to your BIOS location, for example, A:\>4870\
4. Type "atiflash.exe -ai", this is to check your VGA card adapter location. If you have only one adapter, the adapter should be 0(zero).
Type "atiflash -s 0 back.bin" to save your original BIOS.
Then type "atiflash -p 0 86827efb.sb -f" to update VGA BIOS. "-p" is to program, "-f" is to program forcibly.
5. Restart PC to finish when you see "Restart System To Complete VBIOS Update" message.

After BIOS is updated, please follow fan speed adjustment.doc to increase fan speed when play games.
