Problema formattazione EeePC. (partizione scomparsa)

Salve, ho trovato per casa un Eee PC acquistato nel '08 abbandonato al suo crudele destino sopra la mensola per via di un virus che impediva di accedere a windows in qualsiasi modalità, anche provvisoria. Dato che il PC era di mio padre ho deciso di farlo rifunzionare, così ho subito messo win. xp su una chiavetta e settato il Boot USB dal bios del pc, solo che quando ho fatto partire il boot da usb ed avviato l'installazione di XP, sono rimasto praticamente a bocca aperta.
Nel menù è presente solo la partizione NTFS della pendrive, che mi risulta come C:, e non quella del computer :oogle: Dov'è finita la partizione principale del computer con Windows con il virus dentro? :nunu: Ne sto capendo poco e niente, è dalle 12 che sto combattendo con questo pc. Ne ho abbastanza, chi mi può aiutare? Vi allego una foto.

Potresti provare a cambiare nel bios il sistema di riconoscimento hdd,tra ide ahscii e altro. Prova a cambiare e a passare su qualunque di questi qua e eventualmente provare per ciascuno la formattazione. Mi ricordo che avevo avuto un problema simile anch'io formattando un eepc e ho risolto in questo modo.

Pero' prima fai come dice Federico, guarda se lo vedi dal bios.

Ciao, sto eseguendo il tuo consiglio per verificarmi se davvero c'è qualche virus, perchè mi sono accorto che quando starta windows in mod. provvisoria (o anche normale) prima di crashare e riavviarsi, compare una schermata blu per pochissimi istanti. Ora voglio verificare se è un errore di windows oppure un virus, poiché vorrei anche recuperare i dati che sono DENTRO il pc.

EDIT: Avira Antivir mi richiede il CD, io ho un Net. Come potrei fare? Mmh.

Edit: Mi da "NTLDR is missing". Che palle, mille e uno errori, ho sempre odiato i netbook.

Sono riuscito a fare un video alla schermata blu che appare per pochi secondi e con uno stop immagine ho letto l'errore.
