Jolicloud su un notebook? (Amilo li 1718)

Buongiorno a tutti, possiedo un Amilo li 1718 su cui ho installato Ubuntu e Windows e vorrei installarci su anche jolicloud. Jolicloud ha un kernel modificato che funziona bene solo sui netbook. Io ho avuto la fortuna di avere una scheda video funzionante anche con questo kernel personalizzato (penso che le ati raedon express vengano messe anche sui netbook) ma ho paura che il processore non sia supportato, anzi ne sono quasi sicuro perché quando ho fatto partire la live il pc faceva un bel rumore! L'unico modo (mi sono informato) per far partire jolicloud su un laptop è sostituire il kernel personalizzato con quello normale. Ma come? Bisogna per forza prima installare? E come fare per non far sostituire il kernel di nuovo in automatico ad ogni aggiornamento? Mi affido a voi.
 
sicuro che il rumore non venga dal lettore? o lo hai provato tramite usb? io lo sto provando su virtual machine e mi sembra molto valido
 
Penso che il problema non sia la CPU, perlomeno sulle x86 deve andare.
 
la cpu non centra... mi sa che l'informazione è sbagliata, il kernel va benissimo.

Il mio consiglio è di usare ubuntu netbook remix comunque.

@Federico83 no, non è il lettore cd. Se avvio ubuntu da live il rumore non è lo stesso. E comunque su virtual machine va molto peggio che su pc, fidati ho provato. La usb è un'idea ma è scomodo e al momento non ne ho una sottomano.

@Dott.GoNzO no, il kernel è ottimizzato solo per net, perciò lo vorrei cambiare.... me lo ha detto uno dello staff di jolicloud nella comunità ufficiale

guarda gli ho dato un processore e 1 gb di ram ieri sera ho scaricato anche l'aggiornamento alla versione 1.0 quindi credo sia ufficialmente uscito dalla versione beta
 
Ok, a me su macchina virtuale la grafica non si muove proprio. Comunque siamo qui per risolvere un altro problema no? Grazie dell'interessamento comunque!
 
ok avevo capito male... effettivamente il kernel di jolicloud è ottimizzato per atom.

Puoi provare ad installare su jolicloud il kernel di ubuntu di pari versione. Sbaglio o jolicloud è debian based?
 
.....la domanda iniziale quale era? Come si fa a sostituire il kernel? È questo che ho chiesto fin dall'inizio. Da synaptic lo so fare anche io ma io lo vorrei fare prima di installare. Come?

premettendo che non so se uck funzionerà bene con jolicloud, puoi sempre provare...

Il programma è mooolto semplice. Lo installi su debian e rispondi alle domande che ti pone (lingua ecc..), dopo ti chiede di avviare synaptic oppure una shell. Da lì installi il kernel che vuoi. Quando hai finito lo metti su usb o lo provi su macchina virtuale.

uck lo trovi sul software center o sul sito ufficiale.
 
Installato. Jolicloud è in inglese. Quindi metto inglese? Scusa per la domanda da *********** ma dopo la prima domanda (lingua) me ne ha fatta un altra relativa di nuovo alla scelta della lingua e mi pare di aver capito che devo mettere quella della distribuzione (boh!!!) . Comunque come faccio a far in modo poi che il kernel non venga aggiornato dai repository di jolicloud?
 
dopo che hai messo il kernel di ubuntu, e lo hai provato, elimina il kernel di jolicloud e lascia solo quello di ubuntu.
per la lingua non so come jolicloud gestisca le lingue... prima prova se il tuto va in inglese, poi in caso cambi dopo.
