Hello there,

can someone help me understanding the error my printer puts on my screen? - if I scan something ...

I used google translate - but I don't know if I am getting it just right, you know translate isn't quite accurate.
Hopefully someone can translate it for me.
Doesn't matter if you translate it to English or German.

But it is very funny - I installed the software for my printer in German and I am still getting Italian error messages ... :lol:

Hi there German friend :)

The error You got is about MP Navigator Software. The message says "MP Navigator software for the printer you'd like to use may have been installed not properly. Reinstall MP Navigator and try again".

I guess the best thing to do is to look for this software in the Canon german site.... perhaps you also should try to uninstall every Canon software on your PC and install a new version downloaded from the official german site.

Damn americans... they haven't yet understood that in Europe we speak different languages... :asd: :lol: :asd:
 
Maybe if possible that the driver are non installed because the errore say that isn't possible to use Mp Navigator like a printer.

@LordNight Yea - well, Canon is Japanese ;)
I already reinstalled the German printer utility and driver, but I am still getting the same error.
Maybe I have more sucess, if I try the English version or an older one ...

An clean uninstall with registry clean (ccleaner), manual check for "Canon" in registry and deleting temp-files did not work - anyway today I will get my new computer and then I will test it again ... but It still doesn't work on my laptop hmm damn - but it worked some time ago, I don't know what has changed.

I think I have do dig more around and maybe I will have a sucess.

And I think this thread can be ~closed~ - now that I have a translation.

Epic fail 4 me :asd: You wrote Canon, I somehow confused it with HP :lol:
(My girlfriend is still laughing @ me since her house is full of Canon cameras and printers :lol: )

By the way, i read some other forum and seems that your problem is quite common. Canon said it should be due to a conflict with previous hardware installed on the system. They suggested to look for hidden old peripherals and delete the ones not used any more and related drivers too.

For some user this worked fine... hope it will for you too!
 
Yea, I will try it further ... but my 4th attempt of an clean install was no sucess -.-
Maybe I should look deeper for older printer drivers in my system ...
