volendo installare nuovi cursori per kde, mi sono imbattuto in uno che non si installa automaticamente (poco male visto che lo fanno in pochi), e che all'interno della cartella ha questo.

** Default Theme For Use With GDM **

Included with the main cursor themes is the 'default' theme directory.
This folder should be copied to /usr/share/icons with the other included
themes.
To change the theme variant, edit the 'default/index.theme' accordingly.
To ensure GDM is pointing to 'default' theme, perform the following as root:

gconftool-2 --get /desktop/gnome/peripherals/mouse/cursor_theme
(This will display the currently set theme for GDM.)

gconftool-2 --set --type string /desktop/gnome/peripherals/mouse/cursor_theme default
(This will set the GDM theme to 'default'.)

The above instruction was tested for GDM* using Debian Wheezy/Sid.

*At time of use, not tested with GDM3.





se ho ben capito per farlo rillevare devo copiare i vari temi (sono più di uno con delle varianti) all'interno della cartella descritta.
poi me li vede dall'installer dei temi ?


riguardo la parte con GDM invece, non ci ho capito un tubo.

C'è solo scritto quello? Perché quello è riferito a GDM, tu se hai installato fin da subito (e non dopo l'installazione) KDE dovresti avere KDM...
 
sinceramente non sapevo manco cosa fosse GDM.
io ho scaricato il tema manualmente tra quelli proposti in (aspetto spazio di lavoro), dato che non bastava spuntare la voce installa.
quando ho aperto l'archivio compresso, c'era un file read me per l'installazione, e mi ha sputato fuori quel file di testo lì.

quindi non è compatibile con kde ?
strano visto che mi è venuto fuori da quelli "consigliati".
cmq se serve, uso kubuntu 12.04
