Here are all the information I gathered about XPS15:
■ CPU:
• i7 6700HQ:
Geekbench: Single-Core Score: 3339 / Multi-Core Score: 12546
■ Graphics:
• Unigine Heaven: Just finished four back-to-back 5-minute passes of the Unigine Heaven benchmark in Ultra Quality (DX11, Extreme Tesselation, 1920x1080 8xAA fullscreen, no sound). The initial temp was at 57°C, and after that the temp stayed constant between 59°C and 60°C (the fan would cycle on and off). That's 20 minutes of constant running. FPS results were between 18.3 and 18.6, with the score between 461 and 472. The low FPS was 6.3, the high was 38.3
Running four passes of a more reasonable High Quality mode (DX11, No Tessellation, No AA)
yielded 44 FPS on average across multiple runs, with an average score of 1108. Temps stayed between 60°C and 62°C, some runs higher, some lower, no slope to speak of.
• 3DMARK 11 Performance: P5547
■ Thermal throttle / noise:
• Idle:
CPU: 31-35°C
• On load:
Pre-Test
GPU Temp: 42°C
CPU Temp: 37°C
Noise: 52dB
3D Mark
GPU Temp: 87°C
CPU Temp: 88°C
Noise: 69dB
GPU did not appear to throttle during the benchmark. Looking at the log it looks like it kept a steady clock speed even at peak temps and the only changes were in between tests and the temps were dropping.
Valley Benchmark
GPU Temp: 88-90°C
CPU Temp: 87°C
Noise: 71dB
Valley appeared to be the most strenuous test, but the clock speed did not waver even at 90°C.

■ Battery life:
• 4K / 84Wh:
7.5 hours with brightness down (a bit more in eco mode)
4.5 hours with 100% brightness going flat chap
