Best 850€ laptop of these 2?

Hi! Can you help me to choose which of the 2 Acer's laptops is better? I need a laptop only for youtube, programming in visual studio or matlab and sometimes/rarely play Warzone or Battlefield.

Acer 1:

• AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U Hexa-core 2,10 GHz
• Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 IPS
• RAM: 8 GB, LPDDR4X
• GTX 1650 with 4 GB
• 4 cell battery, Maximum battery life = 14 hours and maximum power = 90 W

Acer 2:

• AMD Ryzen™ 7 5700U Octa-core 1,80 GHz
• Full HD (1920 x 1080) 16:9 IPS 144 Hz
• RAM: 16 GB, DDR4 SDRAM
• RTX 3050 with 4 GB
• 3 cell battery, Maximum battery life = 10 hours and maximum power = 135 W

I would pay both 850 € because I have a student discount so I think that the Acer 2 is better for that price, but I am afraid that the rtx 3050 will consume a lot of battery even during normal operation, for example youtube, excel, matlab etc.. (of course during gaming I will always be connected to the AC charger).

What about the battery consumption?

Going back to your problem, i think you can spend money much better than buy this 2 laptop. I don't know where you live, but I've found on amazon.es this laptop it's the previous series of ryzen i know. The performance of this processor is better than the other two you linked. The battery perform at least 5h in normal use (without dgpu enabled). Another choice is with 5800h
I'd like you to note the battery life you wrote earlier it's unbelievable, you never reach all this time.
P.S. I'm italian like all the user on this forum, i hope my english is not that bad.

Penso che potresti spendere meglio i tuoi soldi anziché comprare quei 2 laptop. Non so dove vivi, ma ho trovato su amazon.es questo laptop, so che è la serie precedente dei ryzen. Ma le performance del processore sono superiori agli altri 2 da te linkati, la durata della batteria è circa 5h senza utilizzare la gpu dedicata, un' alternativa più recente è il 5800h
Vorrei farti notare che la durata della batteria che hai scritto precedentemente è incredibile/impossibile, non raggiungeresti mai tutto quel tempo

Ciao, grazie per la risposta. In base a che cosa valuti le performance e la qualità di un processore? Io guardo il numero di core e la frequenza del singolo corre in quanto molti programmi girano usandone solo uno. Credevo che questi 2 fossero dei buoni computer per quel prezzo, ma non sembra essere così :(
Perciò riformulo la domanda chiedendo qualche consiglio/esempio di computer abbastanza veloce (non per forza i5 o 17 di 11th generazione) e che abbia anche una GTX o rtx per del gaming a massimo 1000 euro.

I processori dei computer Acer che hai postato sono "serie U", quindi a basso consumo e sono studiati per essere usati in laptop molto leggeri e sottili, in altre parole consumano meno, scaldano meno, "spingono" meno. I processori dei computer consigliati da ilfe sono "serie H" (high performance): sono più robusti, consumano di più, scaldano di più, rendono di più. Richiedono un miglior sistema di raffreddamento ma possono mantenere livelli di prestazione maggiori senza andare subito in throttling. Generalmente i serie U vengono utilizzati con la grafica integrata, mentre alle schede grafiche dedicate si abbina un processore serie H (vale sia per AMD che per Intel).

Non mi azzardo a darti consigli perchè non conosco il mercato, aldilà delle specifiche non so quale modello sia meglio di un altro.

Comunque in riferimento a quanto scritto nel tuo primo post, posso dirti che la scheda video dedicata entra in funzione solo quando necessario, nell'utilizzo "normale" (che comprende anche vedere video su youtube) il computer utilizza la grafica integrata proprio per consumare meno. Ma nonostante questo generalmente un laptop gaming (soprattutto economico) difficilmente avrà grande autonomia.

Gli HP pavilion gaming che ti hanno consigliato li trovi anche su amazon italia se preferisci a un prezzo leggermente superiore ma con la tastiera italiana, il più potente sotto i 1000€ è questo, con 1650ti (ma ha 8 gb di ram configurati 4+4, quindi se vuoi passare a 16 devi tenere in conto l'acquisto di altri 2 moduli da 8 per circa 80 €, in alternativa si può fare 4+8).

Frugando qualcosina si trova, qui avresti per esempio sempre con tastiera spagnola una RTX 3060 a 1000€ (il processore è un i5 a 6 core che è uscito per fare concorrenza al ryzen 5, un po' meglio in single core e un po' peggio in multicore), però sono 3 kg di computer che scalderanno parecchio (consigliano di impostare le prestazioni della cpu al 99% per risolvere il problema). Ma ripeto non conosco quel modello di prima mano quindi prendilo solo come uno spunto.
