Ssd Spostare Area Di Swap E Partizionare Hard Disk

Salve, ho un SSD da 120 GB, dove è presente un dual boot windows 10 è ubuntu 16.04, visto che ho poco spazio e sopratutto voglio evitare danni all' SSD voglio spostare la partizione di swap di ubuntu su un hard disk esterno.

I passaggi da seguire mi spiegavano che sono questi :

1. disabiliterei l'attuale swap seguendo il wiki
2. commenterei la voce dell'attuale swap in fstab
3. live di Ubuntu per eliminare la swap su ssd ed estendere la partizione primaria per recuperare lo spazio
4. riduzione della partizione del disco esterno e creazione di una partizione di swap nell'area libera creata
5. setting della nuova partizione di swap, seguendo il wiki
6. aggiornamento dell'fstab

Adesso vorrei cominciare se è possibile con la parte più delicata, la partizione dell'hard disk esterno, ho dati importanti all'interno e non vorrei commettere errori
